Riaan brings years of experience acting for companies who wish to set up in various African jurisdictions, and regularly advises corporates on their policies regarding to the Consumer Protection Act. He has acted on behalf banks and entities in a variety of industries where he assisted clients with corporate governance, company secretarial work, commercial litigation and advising on general commercial matters.

Having been educated in an entrepreneurial and financial planning environment, Riaan noted that structuring flaws — typically built in during the start-up phase — often cause companies to fail or severely impact their functionality. He is conscious of the challenges start-ups face when identifying and implementing the correct corporate structure for organisations, and is skilled at helping them navigate those obstacles.

He has a passion for advising start-up companies and entrepreneurs as well established organisations on corporate structuring.
